Element Vs. Compound.
Element: Includes Nitrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, Gold, Silver, etc. An element is a pure substance composed of only one type of atom. It is any substance that cannot be broken down to any other substance.
Compound: A compound is a combination of two or more Elements.
Difference: An element is a single unit of matter that retains all the properties of it. while a compound is two or more elements combined in a fixed ratio. Compounds are substances that are formed from a combination of two or more element chemically. So Element=smallest unit of matter, Compound=elements bonded together Ex.) Na is a Element NaCl would be a compound.
